Dr. Kevin Foy of St. Louis University High School and his former student Jimmy Reddy will be telling the story of Skydration, a non-profit startup Reddy founded during the spring of his senior year at SLUH. Skydration is a 3D-printed device designed to help catch and store rain water in the developing world which allows people to spend fewer hours collecting water. The device rose out of entrepreneurial accelerators at both St. Louis University High School and Saint Louis University. Their presentation will focus on the contexts of SLUH that gave birth to this project as well as the formational role that the challenges and experience of the start-up process played in Reddy’s education at SLUH.
Foy currently teaches Economics at SLUH and Reddy is an freshman at Washington University in St. Louis.
